Since Google launched its Wallet application, users have been challenged by the software's limited functionality. Google Wallet only accepted a few credit or debit cards and was only compatible with a few Android devices.

Starting today, Google Wallet supports any credit or debit card, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover. Any of these cards can be used for in-store purchases with the Google Wallet application, or for online purchases at participating merchants.

In addition, Google moved all credit and debit card data in the cloud, allowing users to sync their preferred payment method. In case users lose their phones, they can disable their mobile wallet from the “Devices” section of wallet.google.com/manage.

Google Wallet 1.5-R75-v6 is now available as a free download via Google Play store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3.3 and up.
