The software packs a new UI for Android 2.2/2.3 devices, other enhancements too

A new version of the Google Play Books application is now available for download for all supported Android devices.

The software, aimed at providing users with the possibility to read your favorite books and authors on the go, features a series of UI enhancements, along with offline search and other changes as well.

The application brings on Android devices’ screens New York Times best sellers, free books, new releases, and more, while providing a personalized reading experience to all users.

The latest flavor of Google Play Books brought along a new interface for all devices running Android 2.2 and 2.3, now with 3D page-turn animation.

Additionally, it offers offline in-book search, and a new home screen shortcut for a single book. In the new release, the screen won’t turn off during TTS.

The latest Google Play Books app flavor is available for download from the Google Play store.
