Google has just made available for download a new flavor of the Google Maps application for devices running under the Android platform.

There are not many enhancements included in the new update, but users will benefit from a new, simplified menu for Google Maps Navigation (Beta).

The new version of the application was made available for download on Friday, and brings along all of the features that were included with previous versions.

Through it, users will benefit from fast navigation capabilities, as well as from the option to find friends on the map at ease, through Latitude.

Not to mention that the application arrives with Places, making it easy for people to find, rate, and get recommendations for places.

Those who would like to download the new application version will find it either in the Google Play store or on Softpedia, via this link.
