Picasa is one of the downloadable applications powered by Google that is now available in 19 more languages beside the main version of the program. Still, the most used Picasa remains the old release that is currently installed on millions of computers, helping users to organize the photos, edit and add effects to the images and share the pictures on the Internet using Picasa Web Albums. The Mountain View company introduced language support for 19 countries that are now providing regional versions of the tool on a separate domain.

"People all around the world are photo-mad, snapping digital photos everywhere they go. Today people in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and the UK have a new tool: Google's Picasa photo organizer in their own (local) language," Adrian Graham, Picasa Product Manager, said today.

Picasa is quite easy to use because it provides an eye-candy interface bundled with well-developed features that allow you to manipulate your photo collection. Moreover, Picasa includes the power of the Google Search Engine, helping you to find a certain picture with ease straight from the interface of the program. The latest versions of Picasa included some new features such as password-protected collections and ratings. The first one is useful especially for the users looking for a solution to protect their collection of photos while the ratings are helping you organize the favorite images easier.

Beside the downloadable program Picasa, the Mountain View company offers Picasa Web Albums, a web-based service that allows users to share their photos with other Internet users. Obviously, you can publish the pictures straight from the application so it is very easy to use. If you want to download Picasa, you can take it straight from Softpedia using this link.
