Video game developer Blizzard has announced that it will introduce a number of new features to its strategy title Starcraft II via the upcoming Heart of the Swarm expansion.

Global Play will allow gamers to play with their peers from any other country, grouped in three territories that cover the entire world.

The system was confirmed for Diablo III recently and will offer more freedom to the communities that were created around Starcraft II.

Blizzard has also confirmed that the strategy game will get resume from replay for multiplayer, a grouping system and better multiplayer replay viewing.

Unranked matchmaking will also be introduced in Starcraft II alongside support for more languages.

Heart of the Swarm will be focused on the Zerg and on the newly found humanity of Kerrigan, their former queen, and should be officially launched during summer of this year, after being first shown to gamers during the Major League Gaming events in June.
