Users can download a demo for the new Windows Phone device

Nokia has just made official its first devices running under Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system, and confirmed that the first of them, namely Nokia Lumia 800, will arrive on shelves next month.

Today, those Nokia fans who would like to get a taste of Nokia Lumia 800 before it arrives on shelves can download a special demo that the company has just put up for download via the Nokia Store.

Available for Nokia Symbian devices, the new demo will provide users with a glimpse at what the upcoming devices is all about, being aimed at rising awareness on it.

“With this interactive demo, experience the all-new Nokia Lumia 800 with Windows Phone on your Symbian device. Try out the demos and get a glimpse of how Nokia with Windows Phone will change your everyday. The rest is up for grabs,” the app's description reads.

Nokia also notes that users might be prompted during installation “to download a large one-time update” for their handsets.
