German designer Fritz Loibl, for instance, has transformed toilet paper in a luxury product by embossing it with 24-carat gold motifs.
Each gold-embossed toilet roll is customized with unique designs that can have different themes based on what the client wants. So, customers can have their own designs imprinted on the toilet papers, which are handcrafted by Mr. Loibl.
They can choose whatever they consider fit for this type of product, from their own initials, to wedding and birthday themes, or other unusual motifs.
The luxury toilet paper is produced at the Tissue Design workshop of Fritz Loibl in Grafenau, Germany, and is being sold worldwide for 179 euros or 246 dollars.
According to Metro, the designer said that the majority of his customers were luxury hotels or businesses that sold luxury goods, but that he also received orders from regular people who bought his products as a gift or for decoration.
Well, this might be just the beginning of a new era for toilet paper users.
