14 DAY TRIAL // Epic Games has revealed a few interesting tidbits of info about the upcoming Gears of War: Judgment third-person shooter, saying that it decided on making Damon Baird the main protagonist because of his popularity.
Gears of War: Judgment is a prequel to the original trilogy but, as we heard earlier this month, it's also going to feature a special epilogue campaign set during Gears of War 3.
Without a doubt the biggest change introduced by the game, however, is that it stars Damon Baird as a protagonist, instead of franchise hero Marcus Fenix.
According to Epic's Jim Brown, via That Xbox Show, Baird was a great choice because of his popularity with fans.
Brown noted that many players love Baird but he's also hated by others, so this meant he was interesting enough to become a true protagonist.
Gears of War: Judgment focuses on Baird's beginnings as a soldier in the COG army and stars with him being court martialed for disobeying orders.
