14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung’s Galaxy S III flagship device has managed to become the top selling smartphone of the year at UK retailer Phones 4U in only 24 hours after its official debut.
The retailer includes in this number the devices that were pre-ordered before May 30th as well, which was also a record one, it seems.
Phones 4U has the new flagship Android device available for purchase through all of its 600 retailer stores in the country.
The company notes that its Just Update My Phone or JUMP contract was one of the main factors that contributed to the handset’s early success.
“A high proportion of the sales made were via JUMP, with new customers starting up contracts and pre-existing JUMP customers also coming in store to take advantage of the flexible upgrade and get their hands on the Galaxy S III,” explained Scott Hooton, commercial officer at Phones 4u, Pocket-lint reports.
