Following the launch of the Galaxy S4 flagship smartphone in the first quarter of the year, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is expected to release a new handset in the Galaxy Note lineup in fall, and photos of what appears to be a prototype of the smartphone are now available online.

The handset, supposedly called Galaxy Note III, should hit shelves with more squarish corners when compared to last year’s Galaxy Note II handset, the leaked screenshots that emerged over at SamMobile show.

Rumor has it that the new device will land on the market with a 5.99-inch sAMOLED touchscreen display, while being powered by an Octa-Core CPU or by a Snapdragon 800 processor.

The specs list of the mobile phone also includes a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean (or even Android 4.3), the Touch-Wiz Nature UX on top, and S Pen functionality.
