One of the highly anticipated smartphones of this year is the Samsung Galaxy Note III, which is supposedly set to become official sometime in early August, and which has yet to be officially confirmed.

Just as expected, the new device is said to be larger than its predecessors, though a new report on the matter suggests that it will be closer to the size of last year’s Galaxy Note II than previously believed.

While previous rumors suggested that the smartphone might pack a 6-inch screen, a recent tweet from @evleaks claims that the display will be only 5.7 inches in size.

Samsung is also rumored to pack the device with an Exynos 5 Octa / Snapdragon 800 CPU inside, as well as with a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back. Stay tuned for more on this.
