The latest Google phone out there, the Galaxy Nexus, arrives on shelves with highly appealing features, including support for HD video recording, and it appears to be capable of doing this pretty nicely.

The mobile phone was made available for purchase with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back but, as the video embedded above shows, courtesy of Pocketnow, it does its job impressively well.

The camera on Galaxy Nexus can deliver 1080p video recording at 30fps, which should be more than enough for most users, that’s for sure.

Of course, this is not the only ability that the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered handset comes to shelves with, but it is an important one for those who would like to use it for capturing moments in high-quality videos or photos.
