The team at Rockstar working on the Grand Theft Auto franchise promises that more details on GTA Online will be delivered in August, allowing players to finally get official information on the multiplayer side of the game.

The fact that GTA V would include something more than single player appeared in one of the recent trailers, but the studio is unwilling to talk about the core features of the experience.

The video suggests that many players will be able to battle in the same area and that they will have access to a wide variety of vehicles and weapons.

Gamers will be grouped into Crews via the Rockstar Social Club and it seems that each of them will need to complete a specific list of activities.

GTA V will be launched on September 17 on the current generation of home consoles.
