The PlayStation 3 saw quite a lot of exclusive games be released for it throughout the year, with the likes of Killzone 3, Infamous 2, or Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One being deployed on the Sony console. Among them, however, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception managed to shine the most, thanks to its stunning visuals, great gameplay and impressive story.

While the Uncharted series made its debut back in 2007, with Drake’s Fortune, which was praised for its great looking visuals, it really impressed gamers in 2009, when its developer, Naughty Dog, released Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

Now, with 2011 seeing the launch of Drake’s Deception, it’s safe to say that the series has reached a whole new level, as the American studio managed to make crucial improvements to its last title and really deliver the most polished experience in the action adventure series.

First up, we have the great story, which now manages to explore the relationship between the protagonist, Nathan Drake, and his longtime mentor, Victor Sullivan, while once again taking them to all sorts of extraordinary environments, including the great Arabian Desert.

After that, there’s the polished gameplay and visuals, which once again show that, even if it may not seem that big a departure from what we’ve seen in Among Thieves, Naughty Dog knows how to make crucial fixes while not changing things just for the sake of change.

Last but not least, there’s the addictive multiplayer, in the form of the cooperative and competitive modes, which deliver experiences that rival those brought by first person shooters like Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3.

Whether you want a game with great style, impressive story or addictive multiplayer, if you have a PlayStation 3 and want to make the most of it, then you can’t go wrong with Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
