GNOME Shell, a user interface that provides functions for the GNOME desktop environment, has just received a new update and it's now at version 3.8.2.

The GNOME development is running smoothly and more features are added with each new version.

Highlights of GNOME Shell 3.8.2:

• A hotcorner regression has been fixed in RTL locales; • Some keybindings are now working while a top bar menu is open; • The "Open Calendar" item is now hidden when no calendar is installed; • The offset of the shadow offscreen rendering has been fixed; • Canceling the keyring dialog between prompts is now allowed; • Miscellaneous fixes and cleanups have been implemented.
