Insomniac Games, the developer behind the upcoming Fuse shooter, has confirmed that, while the game is built for a cooperative experience, solo players will be able to jump between the AI-controlled protagonists using a mechanic called LEAP.

Fuse is out at the end of May and developer Insomniac has posted a variety of interesting details about the game, including a recent lengthy gameplay video that showcased an early level of the game.

Now, the studio has posted a FAQ about the game and confirmed that the game is geared towards cooperative play, supporting four players online, two players using split-screen, or even a combination of both, with two people playing locally alongside two others playing online.

There's a drop-in drop-out mechanic, but solo players will be teamed up with smart AI-controlled allies and they can jump between them using a special system called LEAP.
