Brace yourselves, future Final Fantasy XIII-2 owners, as Square Enix has confirmed that downloadable content for the new Japanese role playing game will be released soon enough, with varied add-ons being designed to enhance your experience.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 has already been released in its native Japan last month and is now getting ready to arrive in North America and Europe, on January 31 and February 3, respectively, for the PS3 and Xbox 360.

After its global release, Square Enix is set to deploy quite a lot of downloadable content for the RPG, with the company’s Final Fantasy director, Motomu Toriyama saying, via Kotaku, that players can “look forward to successive DLC.”

We already know these add-ons will include new costumes and even a boss battle, but more details are certain to appear after the actual release of the game.
