Developer Holotech Studios has announced that FaceRig has just been Greenlit on Steam's community approval platform, just as its greatly successful Indiegogo campaign is drawing to an end.

FaceRig's Indiegogo campaign debuted on December 17, 2013, and managed to raise more than double its intended goal, with two more days to go.

The program is designed to allow people to embody different characters and stream them over the web, letting individuals show off their personalities. Users can select any character they desire and stream the output over the web using various webcam services, and can also record movies for future use.

The program is able to store more than a person's voice, as all the users' facial expressions are translated into the online avatars, every smirk, smile and eye roll.

"Imagine creating your own real-time CGI movie just by using your computer's webcam. With FaceRig people can become digital actors, embody characters they know and love and have fun as they see fit," states a Holotech Studios representative.
