The developers working on the FIFA series at EA Sports say that 35% of those who have bought FIFA 13 are playing the Ultimate Team mode and they plan to increase the percentage for the incoming installment of the franchise.

Marcel Kuhn, a producer, tells MCV that, “Nine months after launch, there’s still 1 million people playing FIFA Ultimate Team every day. That shows how deep the mode is and engaged people are. And the more engaged people are, the more likely they are to come back to the next iteration of FIFA.”

Ultimate Team allows gamers to put together a specialized group of players and tactics using cards and then test their tactics against friends online.

FIFA 14 is set to launch on September 24 in the US and three days later in Europe on the PC and home console.
