The game might also get a PlayStation Vita version

FIFA 14 has just been officially announced by the development team at EA Sports, but there are already rumors that it will be launched on September 24 of this year and that a Vita version of the game is in the works.

The date comes from a listing on Amazon, which has since been modified, and it makes sense given that the FIFA series had launch dates of September 25 in 2012 and September 27 in 2011.

The Vita listing is also credible given that EA Sports has suggested that it will reveal additional formats for FIFA 14 in the coming months, after confirming it only for the PC, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.

The main elements of the new game in the series are Pure Shot and Protect the Ball, which are designed to increase the level of spectacle.

A new multiplayer mode is also rumored.
