New platform will get simplified control scheme and game modes

Video game developer EA Sports, a division of Electronic Arts, has released four new images that show how the upcoming FIFA Football video game will look on the upcoming PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony.

The four screenshots look pretty good and do justice to the hardware power of the new Sony device, which is set to use much of the same technology that is powering the PlayStation 3 home console, with the battery life issue taken into account.

FIFA 12 has been one of the biggest selling titles of the year and is one of the main reasons for the better than expected results that Electronic Arts has posted this year.

On the Vita FIFA will likely move a simpler control system, possibly similar to the two button one for the PC and for home consoles.

The Vita will arrive on December 17 in Japan and on February 22 in North America and the Europe.
