The development team at BioWare says that all the decisions that players have made so far in the Dragon Age titles will be used in some way in the upcoming Inquisition and will have important effects on the state of the game world.

In a video from Gamespot, taken during PAX Australia, Cameron Lee, a producer working on the game, says that, "We know what we want to do. It will absolutely come across – your decisions carry will matter."

Chris Priestly, a community manager, adds, "There will absolutely be some ties to some of the previous games, maybe some of the books or that sort of thing that you’ll recognize if you’ve played the previous games."

BioWare wants to make sure that players who have not experienced other Dragon Age games can understand the story without any help.

Dragon Age: Inquisition will launch in 2014 on the PC, PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and 360.
