Apple posts pre-release version of iOS 7.1 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Apple is offering developers a new version of iOS 7.1 for testing. Labeled as build 11D5115d, this is the second seeded beta in the iOS 7.1 development cycle.

According to the memo posted by Apple on its Dev Center, “This is a pre-release version of iOS 7.1 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Devices updated to iOS 7.1 beta 2 can not be restored to earlier versions of iOS.”

The beta, labeled as build 11D5115d, is made available for all versions of the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad that support Apple’s iOS 7 firmware. The file size varies depending on the device for which you download iOS 7.1 Beta 2.

According to people who are familiar with the software, Apple has made changes in the Settings department (Touch ID and Passcode settings), animations, Control Center, Calendar app, Keyboard, and other areas of the operating system.
