Survivalcraft, a game inspired by Mojang’s Minecraft, has received a major new update that adds crossbows, iron and diamond bolts, a new explosions engine, stone fences, and dozens more items. The system requirements remain low as always and the price is unchanged.

Igor Kalicinski’s Survivalcraft is heavily inspired by Minecraft. Players start out marooned on the shores of a blocky world where they must mine resources, explore various areas to get different types of materials, craft tools and weapons, make traps, hunt, grow plants, etc.

“Build a shelter to survive nights and share your worlds online. Ride horses or camels and herd cattle. Blast your way through the rock with explosives. Build complex electric devices. Possibilities are infinite in this sandbox survival and construction game,” says Kalicinski.

“Survivalcraft brings features you love in the PC version of the most popular block game to your mobile device: infinite worlds, caves, logic elements (electricity), weather, boats, ridable animals, explosions and many more. It does so while maintaining its own realistic, survival-themed style,” adds the developer.

In the twenty-sixth release of Survivalcraft, Kalicinski introduces custom skins (downloadable from community content), a new explosions engine, crossbow, iron bolts, diamond bolts and explosive bolts, fire arrows, throwable bombs, smoke trails, and stone fences, to name some of the new items making their way into this build.

Version 1.25 further changes the UI drawing engine and now uses procedural bevels/indentations instead of baked textures, while some of the audio in the game now uses the MP3 format.

Players will experience sound delay based on distance, explosions create flying and flaming debris, the last used creative inventory page is saved between worlds, pickables and projectiles optimizations, tall grass is now pickable, new crafting recipe to obtain seeds from tall grass item, and velocity limiting fixes.

Further additions / changes / fixes include rendering support for custom skins, ability to select and manage custom skins, support for skins to community content server, custom skins and block textures associated with separate worlds, new content management screen, explosive pickables and projectiles, removed audio files to reduce loading times, dropping items one by one, and tweaked birds UI.

To download Survivalcraft 1.25.4.0, you need an iDevice that is compatible with iOS 5.1, such as iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, iPod touch fourth generation, or iPod touch fifth generation.
