Google Goggles, the application that allows users to search by taking a picture with their Android device, has just received a small update.

Those who are already acquainted with the application will certainly notice the simplified user interface and feature set. According to Google, its Goggles application will now start in the capture mode.

Many Google Goggles users have suggested that this new feature should be added to the application in a future update and it looks like the developers have listened to them and are providing it now.

Aside from these changes, the latest update fixes an image rotation issue on some phones and some minor crashes that have yet to be detailed by Google.

Google Goggles 1.9.1 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
