Those who’ve purchased a Sony Bloggie Touch HD Camera and use a Mac computer to manage and upload their photos and videos can now employ the editing and publishing utility that was available only to Windows users thus far, Sony has announced.

In a blog post, Sony’s Sukhjit notes that “While the camera has always worked with Macs, the software that comes onboard has been limited to PCs.”

“Many Bloggie Touch fans have told us that you want to take full advantage of everything the Bloggie camera has to offer, including the onboard software, so we’ve made a Mac version of it available as a download from Sony’s eSupport site,” Sukhjit explains.

According to the blogger, this update is for current Bloggie Touch models that are on store shelves right now. These include the MHS-TS10, MHS-TS20 and MHS-TS20K.

The Bloggie Touch boasts a stunning 3.0-incg (diag.) touch screen, and one big record button. The screen is capacitive “for touching and sliding effortlessly through all of your photos and HD videos,” according to Sony’s official web site.

The updated Mac-compatible software will already be loaded on the upcoming Bloggie Entry, Bloggie Duo and Bloggie 3D (aka MHS-FS1, MHS-FS2 and MHS-FS3), Sony’s guy added.

“Keep an eye on our blog for price and availability for the new models.”

“In the meantime, have fun with your Bloggie camera and if you like, send us links to your favorite Bloggie-captured photos and videos!” Sukhjit concludes.

The Sony blogger also made a video to walk users through the basics of getting the new Mac version of the software, as well as become familiarized with the user interface.

According to Sukhjit, those who are looking for a streamlined way to share, sort, edit and post their photos and video should consider taking a few minutes to get to know the Bloggie software.
