Advanced Micro Devices has unleashed its newest graphics driver, one that resolves various issues in addition to ensuring full compatibility between the latest graphics cards and Microsoft's operating system.

The main goal of the newest installment of AMD's monthly-updated software is to make all HD 7000 series cards work on PCs.

That includes Radeon HD 7900, Radeon HD 7800 and Radeon HD 7700 series video adapters.

That doesn't mean that the Sunnyvale, California-based company didn't have enough time to do some other things though.

In fact, customers will find that the AMD Catalyst Control Center won't exhibit delays or startup issues anymore.

Also, the FurMark Benchmark should no longer crash when launched in High Performance mode.

There are some game fixes listed in the change log as well: Skyrim will no longer flicker and suffer texture corruption, Far Cry 2 won't hang randomly when running in high settings and XPlane will be free of its own corruption issues too.

What's more, task switching with MLAA (Morphological Anti-Aliasing) and Anti-Aliasing enabled in Tom Clancy HAWX won't cause crashes anymore.

Furthermore, Quake 4 will stop suffering from display corruption after task switching (in High performance mode) and Alan Wake won't crash when running in DirectX 9 with Corssfire enabled.

Alas, some issues are still left (Vsync may be disabled after task switching when playing Rage in Windows 7, Crysis 2 may hang randomly in DirectX 11 mode, depending on OS version, things like that). In other words, when you go to the appropriate version of the driver (listed below), be sure to read the change logs to know what you are in for.
