Only a few days after Firmware 7.2.0 for Dovado Routers was released, the producer has made available a new firmware package targeted at the same devices, namely version 7.2.1, which should fix specific problems caused by the previous update.

Specifically speaking, the newly-outed version resolves the issue with the Dynamic DNS that stopped working after installing firmware 7.2.0, and also fixes the connect problem encountered when using Option HSO modems.

As for applying this update, you should know that this process can be performed regardless of the platform installed on your system. Simply get and extract the proper downloadable firmware compatible with your router and log into the device’s web user interface.

Now go to “Upgrade,” click the “HTTP Upgrade” option, then the “Browse” button, and navigate to the firmware file (.bin format) located within the newly created folder. Afterwards, select the .bin file and click “Start HTTP Upgrade.”

At this point the router will automatically transfer the new version and initiate the update process (which should take about 3 minutes to complete). Bear in mind that, while the installation is in progress, you mustn’t power off or use the router so that no update failure is encountered.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best suits your device, take into account all the above-mentioned aspects, and apply the new version on your router.
