Valve has apparently removed the necessity of an invitation for Dota 2, allowing almost all Steam users around the world access to its Multiplayer Online Battle Arena experience.

Dota 2 has been in a closed beta stage for quite some time and, thanks to Valve's loose policy concerning invitations, millions of Steam users can access the MOBA title.

Now, after hearing that the game will go public this summer, GosuGamers reports that Dota 2 can be downloaded by almost all Steam users without necessitating an invitation.

The requirement, however, wasn't eliminated for Chinese users, as they still need to be invited in order to access the online title.

Those who get this public version of Dota 2 will have to watch a trailer before the main menu appears, but no other limitations are present.
