Don't Starve, the upcoming survival game from indie developer Klei Entertainment, will be released on the PC platform, via Steam, on April 24.

Klei Entertainment delivered some great experiences over the years, with the ultra-violent Shank titles as well as with the stealth-focused Mark of the Ninja.

Now, the studio is hard at work on Don't Starve, a randomly generated survival game that tasks players with surviving for as long as possible.

While the title has been in a closed beta stage since last year, it's now received an actual release date for the PC platform.

Don't Starve will be out for the PC, via the Steam digital distribution service, on April 24, according to Joystiq.

After that, Klei promises to release new content for six months in order to keep fans hooked on the survival experience.
