The development team at Blizzard officially announces that the much-awaited patch 1.0.8 for Diablo 3 is now live on North American servers and will soon be delivered for those playing in Europe and in Asia.

The team states, "Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.8 is live until those regions have also patched."

The changes list for patch 1.0.8 is huge and the modifications affect all core Diablo 3 gameplay mechanics.

The Blizzard team aims to make the game more appealing, especially on high difficulty modes, by eliminating hassles and allowing players to focus on the primary business of killing monsters and getting better gear.

Diablo 3 will be launched during the fall on PlayStation devices.
