PlayStation owners will have one whole year to enjoy their exclusive goodies

When Bungie's online science fiction meets fantasy first-person shooter Destiny comes out, it will do so with some exclusive content for Sony's platforms, the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

What we didn't know until now was for how long the "Timed Exclusives" would remain so, and now details regarding when the exclusive content will be available on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One have emerged on the Internet.

The details arrive thanks to an update from online dealer Amazon, the listing showing that Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners will have to wait for at least one whole year before getting access to Destiny's PlayStation exclusives.

"Exclusive content for PlayStation 4 owners includes the Exodus Blue Competitive Multiplayer Map, Dust Palace Strike, Weapons, Ships and Gear that will only be on PlayStation until at least Fall 2015," the listing on Amazon reads.

If this turns out to be accurate, then it would be something really surprising, as everyone expected the deal between developer Bungie, publisher Activision and platform holder Sony to be similar to the one between Microsoft and Activision for the Call of Duty series, with exclusive content and DLC arriving on all the other platforms after a month.

Destiny is coming out on September 9, for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.
