It's always nice to see a developer that admits its mistakes and makes amends with players. Stardock is the latest example, as the company has begun sending out coupons for all those players who bought and registered Demigod, the Gas Powered Games developed multiplayer-oriented videogame.

Given the problems that Demigod has had, partly because of faulty programming regarding multiplayer, partly because of the fact that a major retailer broke the street date for the game, the company's trying to reward the players who have stuck with it is more than welcome.

Stardock is saying the problems that the title has had in creating and maintaining multiplayer connections have mostly been dealt with and that the release can be played easily by all those interested, so gamers are encouraged to spread word about it to others.

To help spread Demigod amongst gamers, Stardock is sending coupons to all those who have the title and have bothered to register it. The coupons can be used to get a second copy of the digital distribution version of the game for 50% off the normal price, using the Impulse digital distribution platform that the company has developed.

But it is not stopping here. It is also planning to send another round of coupons during the next week, which will allow those who have bought Demigod to get another Stardock game for 20% off, again through digital distribution. Apparently, those who continue to play the game will get more access to special offers as time goes by.

Demigod is a very interesting title, allowing players to only direct one main character in a titanic battle while offering them a great variety of customization options. The games are fluid, complex, with a hint of role playing added in and with team work being crucial for victory when team games happen. The game is enjoyable in single player but the real engaging experience comes from joining with other players and putting together a multiplayer game.
