Round Rock, Texas-based PC vendor Dell, is expected to unveil a new portable computer system that will complete the company's line of Latitude XT tablet PCs. According to details in the market, the Latitude XT2 tablet has apparently just been released in Korea, providing us with a full list of technical specifications. However, the PC vendor is yet to officially announce the product, so we might see a change in the specification list, when the product is officially released.

According to a web page on Dell's New Zealand site, the upcoming Latitude XT2 tablet will boast an Intel Core 2 Duo ULV SU9400, clocked at 1.4GHz, coupled with a Montevina chipset. The tablet also sports an Intel integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics solution, meant to deliver the graphics support required by the 12.1-inch LED backlit capacitive touch-screen with EM Digitizer pen. The small form factor should allow the Latitude XT2 users to easily take advantage of the tablet's features, no matter where their work may take them.

Additional features include a 120GB 5400RMP SATA hard disk, which can be upgraded to a faster 128GB Solid State Drive. Dell's upcoming tablet is said to sport a maximum of 5GB of DDR3 memory, although that is yet to be confirmed. Aside from that, users will get their usual 802.11 a/g/n wireless network connectivity and gigabit Ethernet, eSATA, 2 USB 2.0, Firewire and ExpressCard 54 slot.

All of the above will become available in a chassis that is just 0.98-inches thick, enabling the entire system to weigh 3.78 pounds, when equipped with a 6-cell battery. Although details on the tablet's pricing and availability are yet to become official, we are expecting a rather high price tag, given the overall specifications of the upcoming Latitude XT tablet PC from Dell.
