While some manufacturers are gearing up to release new products which run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, some of them are yet to push out the Android 4.3 update.

This is the case of Dell, which started making available the new built for its Atom-based budget tablets, the Venue 7 and Venue 8, as an OTA update (over-the-air).

Users updating to the new build will notice the standard set of improvements and enhancements characteristic to Android 4.3, Dell has also added some particular tweaks of its own making.

For example the camera is now working better and the entire system (touchscreen included) is more responsive. Dell hasn’t released an official change-log, so the changes are being reported by users who have performed the update.

You should receive a notification on your tablet when the update has arrived, but if you don’t see it yet don’t panic, as OTA updates arrive gradually.
