14 DAY TRIAL // Developer Team Ninja and publisher Tecmo Koei have released a brand new trailer for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, introducing the latest character to join the cast, Honoka.
Dead or Alive 5 has seen its fair share of expansions so far, and the devs stated that Last Round would be the definitive edition. The series usually sees many returning characters, including some cross-franchise warriors making their way in the extensive character roster available to gamers.
The game was initially released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 computer entertainment systems in 2012 and was met with excitement from fighting games fans.
Dead or Alive 5: Last Round marks the game's debut on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 home consoles, as well as on Steam for Windows PC, reaching an all-new audience this February.
The game has guest characters from Sega's Virtua Fighter, with the original boss from the first Dead or Alive, Raidou, also making a comeback as a cyborg.
An all-new fighter
Honoka is an all-new character to the franchise, a teenager with an average build, that studied her favorite moves from a variety of sources, combining them all in a special fighting style she calls Honoka Fu. She is highly skilled, but due to her low strength, her moves don't always pack the same punch as those of the fighter she learned them from.
She will also come with an all-new arsenal of moves and techniques that have never been seen before, which she can make use of when in her Hissatsu-no-Kamae stance, when she is also imbued with unbelievable strength.
Team Ninja has also released some information on Honoka's background. She has been raised by her gentle grandmother, being a sweet and easygoing girl. However, a mysterious power surges through her, and she cannot contain her excitement whenever she sees a fight.
