After many delays and quite a lot of patches and updates released for Dead Island, Techland and Deep Silver have confirmed that the first downloadable content for the zombie-killing game, in the form of the Bloodbath Arena, will arrive on November 22.

Dead Island impressed gamers back in October with its interesting environment and surprisingly deep role playing mechanics, even if it was plagued by quite a lot of issues and problems, which prompted the development team at Techland to deploy several patches and updates.

Now, after the game received plenty of fixes, the team has pinned a new release date on the first DLC for Dead Island, the previously announced Bloodbath Arena, which is now scheduled to arrive on November 22, for the PC, PlayStation 3, or Xbox 360.

It delivers a new survival mode that allows players to fight off waves of zombies in four different arenas, gaining experience that carries over to the single-player campaign. New leaderboards for the arenas, as well as a special weapon called the Brain Wave Bomb, are also included.

Bloodbath Arena is free to those who bought the Limited Edition of the game, while others need to pay either $9.99 (9.99 Euros) or 800 MS Points.
