Starting today, Verizon customers can purchase the new DROID XYBOARD tablet PCs via the wireless carrier’s stores around the country, after the devices went available on the company’s website a few days ago.

Based on Android 3.2 Honeycomb and featuring 1.2GHz application processors inside, along with support for Verizon’s LTE network, these are highly appealing devices, though they certainly do not come cheap.

DROID XYBOARD 10.1, the larger of the two, is available in stores in capacities ranging from 16GB to 32GB, priced at $529.99 (400 Euros) and $629.99 (475 Euros), respectively. There is also a 64GB model available, but only online, priced at $729.99 (550 Euros).

The second device, DROID XYBOARD 8.2, hits shelves in 16GB and 32GB flavors, priced at $429.99 (325 Euros) and $529.99.

These prices are available with the signing of two-year contract agreements with the wireless carrier, and involve choosing a Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband data plan starting at $30 monthly access for 2 GB of data.
