The development team at DICE is ready to reveal the campaign premise for the coming Battlefield 4, which will see gamers take on the role of Sergeant Daniel Recker as he leads Tombstone squad through a conflict between the United States and China.

The studio says that the single-player campaign will open with a mission in Baku, which was already shown, before gamers get to explore Shanghai as they search for a CIA operative and his Chinese companion.

A rogue admiral named Chang is declaring martial law and preparing for battle with the United States and players will need to withdraw from the city in order to extract towards the waiting 7th Fleet.

DICE adds, "As you reach Singapore you are shocked to find a horrific scene of fire and mayhem. The flagship is sunk and its fleet is eradicated, and from this point on nothing is certain."

Battlefield 4 will be out on October 29 and November 1 on the PC and home consoles.
