Crysis 2 has been launched for a couple of weeks now and was the most successful release of the year for its publisher, Electronic Arts, largely because it accommodates many different play styles coming from many different gamers.

We already talked about my favorite, the invisible predator one, where you use the game's nanosuit to cloak yourself and just start sniping enemies from afar, but now we're talking about the more hands-on approach allowed by the suit's maximum armor mode.

If sniping isn't really your style, then you can always use the Nanosuit's enhanced armor mode to protect you from serious damage and just start going right into firefights, taking down enemies with your weapons or even grabbing them by the throat and tossing them into their teammates.

While that may sound a bit too easy, even playing as a tank has a few risks in Crysis 2, as you never know just how many enemies may appear at one time, and you really need to make sure all of your opponents are down, because some can call in reinforcements.

When this happens, you need to rethink your strategy and make sure you have enough energy in your nanosuit to sustain the armor mode.

The energy dissipates depending on your movement and the amount of damage you sustain, so tackling huge aliens that are packing rocket launchers or their own shields head-on might not be the best idea.

You also need to factor in the different environments, as many have special areas that you can exploit with the armor mode, allowing you to flank enemies or jump on top of them and wreak massive damage provided you have your nanosuit upgraded.

Still, if you prefer going into firefights guns blazing, then Crysis 2 will certain please you, both in its single-player mode and in the multiplayer one, where things get extremely hectic due to the unpredictable nature of your opponents, but that's a topic for another gamer diary.
