A new instance of Chrome Dev has emerged and is bent on tackling the needs of the online gamer.

Version 16.0.912.0 of the Google browser adds some salt and pepper by allowing Native Client (NaCl) and Pepper plug-ins to use first person controls while in full-screen mode and the mouse cursor is locked. The benefits extend to both applications and games.

Also important are the improvements for MacBook Pro users running OS X Lion 10.7.1. They should experience extended battery life if their machine is equipped with two graphics cards.

Additional changes in the latest Dev build of Google Chrome include an updated JavaScript engine, V8 3.6.6.3.

Among the problems Chrome developers are already aware of, the browser crashes when initiating document printing.
