Images purporting to show the exact dimensions of the two next-gen iPhones coming out this year have emerged, giving us an idea of what to expect from the Cupertino, California-based company. Apple indeed seems to have prepared a rival for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The Frenchies at nowhereelse.fr are flashing a new set of images depicting leaked iPhone 6 cases, this time for both models that Apple is rumored to be planning for launch this year.

The first case is for the widely discussed 4.7-inch model, which already poses a considerably bigger screen than the current-generation iPhone 5s. However, Apple wants to go big. Really big! Or at least that’s the consensus among everyone with contacts at Apple.

Case in point, a much bigger protective sleeve dressing what appears to be an iPhone mockup is shown next to the 4.7-inch model. It reportedly measures 157mm (6.1 inches) in length, 81mm (3.1 inches) in width, and 7mm (0.27 inches) in thickness.

The smaller iPhone is allegedly 138mm (5.4 inches) tall, 67mm (2.6 inches) wide, and measures the same 7mm (0.27 inches) in depth. Previously it was believed that the iPhone 6 would be only 6.1mm (0.24-inch) thick.

The bigger iPhone is labeled as iPhone 6S in these photos, which may well be the real nomenclature chosen by Apple for this particular version of the smartphone. Other names the media has found for the uber handset include iPhone Air and iPhone Pro, though neither of these two is likely to be the real name of the phablet.

So what’s the deal with these abundant case leaks and physical mockups as of late? Well, word on the web is that someone at Foxconn has leaked the schematics / blueprints of the upcoming iPhone 6 models, allowing accessory makers to get a head start in manufacturing their protective sleeves and cases.

Some, as exemplified by this particular leak, have taken things much further by creating actual physical mockups of the phones-to-be. Past attempts at making launch-ready cases for unconfirmed iPhone models have proved to be a bad investment for some accessory makers. Jumping the gun on these products trusting that the leaked specs are accurate has left some companies with entire warehouses of unusable cases.

However, considering the consistency of the leaks, it appears that the two iPhones will indeed look a lot like these mockups.
