14 DAY TRIAL // Video game developer and publisher Capcom says that its Deep Down title is not related in any way to the Dragon’s Dogma series, despite speculation from fans.
Writing on the official forums of the company, Christian Svensson, a senior vice president, states, “No new DD product has been announced so there’s nothing I can comment on there.”
He adds, “For reference DR3 and Deep Down have nothing to do with Dragon’s Dogma.”
Deep Down was shown during the PlayStation 4 reveal event back in February and was said to use the new Panta Rhei game engine that Capcom will employ for next-gen titles.
The new game world and that of Dragon Dogma share a fantasy element and a gritty look.
Since then, no information has been offered on the game and it was also absent from E3 2013.
