Activision has confirmed that four extra content drops will arrive for its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 shooter, besides the 20 pieces of DLC that have already been confirmed earlier this year.

Modern Warfare 3 impressed tens of millions of fans from all over the world and Activision’s content strategy, of making new drops every few weeks, is paying off, as lots of people are making Call of Duty Elite premium subscriptions just to access the new maps and missions.

Now, in order to get players even more excited about the content drops, Activision has confirmed, via Joystiq, that four more pieces of DLC will be released throughout the year for Modern Warfare 3.

These four drops join the 20 that have been revealed by the company earlier this year, when the whole release mechanic was presented.

No word on what these drops may be or when they’ll appear, but it’s most definitely welcome news for Modern Warfare 3 fans and Elite subscribers.
