The teams at Microsoft and Activision announce that the upcoming Call of Duty: Ghosts will have dedicated servers on the Xbox One home console using the power of cloud computing.

At the same time, all downloadable content for the new shooter from Infinity Ward will be first delivered on Microsoft-made devices and a new bundle featuring the title will be announced at a later date for a number of European markets.

Mark Rubin, the executive producer working on Ghosts, says that dedicated servers are a way of making sure that matches are running smoothly and all players can enjoy the experience.

During the event at Gamescom, Infinity Ward is also revealing a new game mode for the upcoming FPS title, called Blitz, which will focus on objective control and will require good coordination between players.

Both the new Xbox One console and Call of Duty: Ghosts will be launched in November of this year.
