The next game in the Call of Duty series has apparently been leaked by a retailer, in the form of Call of Duty: Ghosts, alongside an actual cover of the game.

Update: A Target flyer, via Wario64, also confirms Call of Duty: Ghosts and pins a November 5 release date on the new shooter for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

A new Call of Duty game is coming this year, and previous reports have mentioned that it's going to be named Call of Duty: Ghosts and that it's going to be a spinoff of the Modern Warfare plot.

Now, retailer Tesco has posted a listing of the game on its website, alongside an actual cover.

Call of Duty: Ghosts is apparently the official name and will star Ghost, one of the most memorable non-playable characters from the Modern Warfare series.

No other details were mentioned in the leaked listing, although a December 30 release date is shown. Before you worry, it's quite likely that the mention is just a placeholder date.

What's more, the game appears to be made exclusively by developer Infinity Ward, unlike Modern Warfare 3 that was created by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.

Expect to hear more soon enough.
