After seeing many images with Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and even getting a semi-official confirmation through a bit of Morse code, the UK website of the upcoming game from Activision has gone live, offering the first details on the new first-person shooter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was rumored for quite some time but many await the official announcement from Activision that will take place later today.

Until then, it seems that the UK website of the game has gone live ahead of schedule and offers the first bits of details about the new game, which takes place in the near future, as opposed to the first Black Ops, which was set in the 1960s.

"Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st Century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare," the game’s pre-order description reads.

As of yet, the rest of the website is either unavailable or its content is locked, meaning no images or videos can be viewed as of yet.

Expect the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 announcement to appear later today.
