Some footage from the upcoming entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Sledgehammer Games' futuristic take on the military first-person shooter, has popped up on the Internet.

The video delivers some 1080p Capture the Flag multiplayer gameplay footage, showing the game being played and feeling just how it's supposed to be. In addition to running and gunning, there is jetpack action, holo flags, and a lot of verticality in the map, titled Ascend.

The footage isn't anything ground-breaking by any means, but it shows how the upcoming game will play, complete with the fancy new mechanics, such as the bouncy jetpack, that will introduce some new interactions in player-versus-player engagements.

Furthermore, the unedited, raw gameplay shows the exact flow of the game, and also sneaks in a quick look at some of the weapons, and their many variations, that players will be able to make use of starting November 4, on PC, last-gen and current-generation consoles.

Capture the flag is a generally fast-paced and action-packed game mode, but the footage makes the scene seem largely uninhabited. Apart from that, the gameplay looks like just what you would expect from a Call of Duty game, a lot of running and gunning action, with the occasional knife kill, killstreak and care package thrown into the mix.
