Version 0.8.47 of the e-book reader and management software Calibre has been announced today, April 13th, with some important new features and fixes.

Calibre 0.8.47 is one of the most smaller updates to the app and doesn't includes too many changes, but there are a few that matter, such as:

• Support for all the named entities in the HTML 5 spec. was added; • Support for viewing and converting the Haodoo PDB ebook format was added; • Driver for Laser EB720 was added; • A regression in version 0.8.46 of Calibre that broke "automatic adding" when adding of duplicates was enabled and auto convert was also enabled, was fixed; • Fixed "Tags" field in advanced search does not obey regex setting; • Fixed handle books whose titles start with a bracket, for Amazon metadata.
