14 DAY TRIAL // Ever since Brad Pitt divorced “Friends” star Jennifer Aniston and became an item with one of the most exquisite ladies in Hollywood, Angelina Jolie, talk of whether he cheated on Jen has not ceased. Brad himself repeatedly refuted the allegation but will, apparently, no longer be able to do so once his former bodyguard’s tell-all book drops, several media outlets are reporting.
Mickey Brett, the bodyguard whom Brad is said to have fired last year, is set on revealing even the most carefully guarded secrets of the celebrity couple in an “explosive” book. Among the many stories he has to tell, one will deal specifically with Brad and Angelina’s take on the Aniston affair. In other words, Brett will reveal that the two were, indeed, an item, long before the divorce papers were signed or, for that matter, drawn up.
“He [Brett] knows everything about Angelina. It’s going to be one of the most explosive books ever written. It will include all the sordid details of how they [Pitt and Jolie] got together while Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.” a source close to the couple recently told Us Weekly. The same insider claims that Brett was not asked to sign a confidentiality contract once he started to work with the Jolie-Pitts, which, if true, enables him to publish his book without any legal consequences.
However, it is said, both Brad and Angelina are trying their best to prevent the book from coming out. One of the means already pursued is the way of the law, the two having filed a case asking for the book to be blocked. The hearing is supposed to take place soon, several media outlets are saying, so the fans should probably hear more of this in just a short while.
If the bodyguard’s story is accurate, or in case the book gets out, both Brad and Angelina would take a serious hit in terms of their public image. Just recently, Pitt was speaking with W magazine, saying again that there was considerably less to his affair with Angelina than the media made it seem. “We were still filming after Jen and I split up. Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.” Brad told W at the time.
